At observIQ we’re a software startup developing the next generation of IT monitoring tools. We’re building powerful open source solutions used by Fortune 500 companies and small technology companies alike.

BindPlane is used to bring Metrics and Logs from 200+ different IT technologies into Google Cloud Operations. We are looking for a Solution Architect to demonstrate and implement our monitoring solutions.


Multi-cloud is the reality in the modern IT environment. observIQ is looking for someone to apply their IT/DevOps skills for a customer facing role. The ideal candidate can both work with customers and drive the technical implementation of IT Monitoring for logs and metrics.

Reporting to the Chief Architect, the Solutions Architect is responsible for working to solve our customer’s monitoring use-cases and work with them on initial implementation.

Primarily, the role will include demoing software, holding use-case conversations, and supporting the initial Proof-of-Concepts implementations.

Secondary responsibilities include: helping to design demo environments, sales materials, and other collateral to make sure we present our best experience.

observIQ is a tight-knit organization when working together for customer’s monitoring needs. This candidate will be driving customer interactions and pulling other resources between support and development as needed.

This is the ideal role for someone who has a background in multi-cloud administration or related roles. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and tackling specific IT challenges. Every week is different with many opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrate examples of our IT Monitoring portfolio.
  • Partner with the Sales team to understand customer’s technical requirements, and use-cases.
  • Hold conversations with customers and partners evangelizing our IT monitoring capabilities.
  • Understand IT monitoring fundamentals and pain-points that customer experience.
  • Drive a solution for customer’s monitoring needs.
  • Be comfortable in communicating with various levels of IT roles.
  • Carry out Implementation of monitoring solutions. Which may include:
  • Scripted installation of monitoring agents
  • Custom Dashboarding design
  • Alert Definition
  • Testing deployment scenarios
  • Work with Product Management when there are unknowns or features needed within the product line.
  • Maintaining a level of expertise with observIQ product lines via self-study, collaboration with peers, and organizational training.

Ideal Background:

  • Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Professional Services, or IT consulting is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IS or equivalent combination of education and years of IT experience.

Preferred Technical Experience

Familiarity or Experience with some or all of the following is ideal:

  • DevOps / SRE methodologies
  • Linux and Window OS Administration
  • Kubernetes
  • Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Microsoft Azure administration
  • Familiarity or professional experience with a variety of Cloud Platforms is a plus.
